SpaFinder Seizes Piece of Salon Market January 31, 2008 Acquisition of SpaWish gift card and certificate business part of growth strategy

Expect more places for pampering to be part of the SpaFinder spa gifting program in the near future. Through its recent acquisition of the SpaWish gift card and certificate business, the New York-based company is now able to tap into the $40 billion U.S. salon industry.
Under the agreement, SpaFinder will rename and brand the new division "Spa and Salon Wish," and will soon expand the network of thousands of day spas and salons that accept SpaWish gift cards and certificates. As a result, the participants of the SpaFinder gifting program can have their pick of hair, face and nail establishments.
SpaFinder anticipates that the Spa & Salon Wish gift cards and certificates will likely be accepted at 4,000 locations by the end of 2008. Currently, SpaFinder gift cards and certificates are already accepted at more than 4,000 spas.
