Helping Hand Rewards Provides Socially Responsible Corporate Gifts
October 21, 2009
Began in 2006, Helping Hand Rewards is Hinda Incentives' Michael Arkes' personal initiative to support social enterprises. Helping Hand Rewards markets and distributes products made by or produced through socially conscious enterprises from around the world, as corporate gifts for employees and clients.

Socially responsible gift giving is expected to be big this holiday season, as corporate social responsibility awareness continues to rise. Helping Hand Rewards represents at least nine socially focused vendors. Its story was featured in Incentive's August 2009 issue.

Below are some corporate gift items Helping Hand Rewards offers.

The Enterprising Kitchen Urban Escape: TEK provides workforce development and support services to lower-income women working ttoward self-sufficiency. Urban Escape is a gift basket that includes a 6-ounce cube of glycerin soap, 8-ounce bottle of shower gel, 4-ounce bottle of organic body oil, a soy candle, natural loofa scrub, and packet of bath tea.

Bright Endeavors Dreambean Favorites: Bright Endeavors is a job training program committed to helping homeless and at-risk young women gain the necessary skills to become self-sufficient adults. Dreambean Favorites is a gift set that includes white tea pillar candles and an assortment of candle tins, which include lavender, rose tea, lemon tea, and mandarin grapefruit scents.

Mercado Global Strands of Progress Set: Mercado works with women's cooperatives across the world to help them create beautiful handmade products. Fifteen threads of hand-strung lavender glass beads create these exquisite pieces. The purchase of one Strands of Progress funds two months of a scholarship for a child in the community of Zaput, Guatemala.

WHO Women Cake with Java: This organization offers education, employment, and more to less-fortunate women, victims of domestic violence, and the developmentally disabled. The cake-and-coffee set can be a 2-pound gourmet fruitcake in one of three flavors (Cranberry Orange Walnut, Berries Cherries and Nuts, or Chocolate Berries) with a 6-ounce package of roast coffee.
