Smooth Cruising
September 24, 2008
By Jennifer Juergens

Steve Bloss, president of sales, Worldwide Travel & Cruise Associates, Inc. says there is a lot happening in the cruise business these days. "There are a lot of ships with new designs being built like the Eurodam from Holland America, Celebrity's Solstice and the 220,000 ton Genesis from Royal Caribbean. You'll see these ships with a lot of bells and whistles like alternative dining and new entertainment options."

"NCL's new ship is going to be like Nicki Beach on the ocean with a club like feel. There is a lot happening in the cruise business. The number of people who cruise goes up every year," Bloss says.

He stresses the tremendous value of cruises for overseas incentive groups. "The luxury line Regent offers $450 per person per night. If you stay at the Ritz Carlton in Europe it could be $900 a night, and that's without the food."

To speak to Steve in person, visit him at booth #1737. He is truly excited about what's going on the cruise business. "There hasn't been a luxury cruise ship built in nine years. There are six luxury ships being built now."
