Worktopia Expands, Integrates with GetThere's Corporate Travel Solution February 26, 2009
Worktopia, the White Plains, N.Y.-based provider of online booking technology for small meetings, has expanded its capabilities by partnering with corporate travel procurement solution GetThere, it announced last week.
The partnership, which enables Worktopia to integrate directly with GetThere's DirectCorporate system, allows GetThere's corporate customers to receive live quotes and book in real time guest rooms, meeting space, audio/visual equipment and more using Worktopia's Universal Meeting Solution (UMS).
"This expanded offering with GetThere represents a real milestone for the travel industry, providing true corporate spend management for simple offsite meetings," Worktopia CEO John Arenas said in a statement. "The full integration of our service within GetThere allows us to reach and serve the needs of this important Fortune 500 customer base immediately. Our software as a service platform means GetThere's corporate customers can activate this additional service and simply toggle on their supplier preferences for instant meeting spend management."
Currently, more than 3,000 companies use GetThere to book and manage corporate travel.
"Our approach is to provide our customers with best in class tools to manage their travel related spend," said Jeremy Stubbs, director of Go to Market Strategy for GetThere. "Worktopia's UMS offering leverages our platform and takes the lead in addressing our customer's demand for control and management of off-site meeting spend."
