Six Receive CPIM Certification
October 14, 2009
By Leo Jakobson

Six incentive industry veterans were awarded Certified Professional of Incentive Management (CPIM) certification at the Motivation Show last month.

To achieve CPIM certification, professionals with at least two years industry experience must pass a comprehensive examination based on the Incentive Marketing Association's (IMA) "Principles of Results-Based Incentive Design" curriculum; complete an assessment of their experience in the industry, and the learning and leadership opportunities they have pursued (such as attending industry seminars or speaking at a trade show); and developing a white paper on a topic of relevance to the industry.

Those awarded CPIM status on September 29, and the white papers they submitted, are:

•Louise Anderson, president and CEO of Anderson Performance Improvement in Hastings, MN for "Culture of Recognition"

•David Boodey, president of RepLinkin Minneapolis, MN for "Using Social Media to Grow Your Brand"

•Todd Hanson, president and founder of Catalyst Performance Group in Appleton, WI for "New Normal for Incentive Programs"

•David Peer, vice president of Client Services for Hinda Incentives in Chicago, IL for "B2B Gift Cards Where Do We Go From Here?"

•Mark Repkin, vice president of Certif-A-Gift in Arlington Heights, IL for "Principles for Promotional Product Consultants"

•Sean Roark, vice president of PromoPros in Spring, TX for "Top Ten Myths -- Key to A Successful Safety Incentive Program"

To maintain CPIM certification, recipients must renew the assessment portion of their leadership and participation in the industry every three years.
