Sony Adds Large Video Touchscreen to Walkman Lineup May 21, 2009
Sony has released a line of Walkman video MP3 players featuring Internet connectivity via WiFi, an FM tuner, and a cutting edge OLED touch screen display offering exceptional color reproduction, extremely high contrast and a rapid response rate to create smooth, crystal clear playback.
The X-series Walkman also has another first: The player itself provides software-based integrated digital noise canceling technology to block out ambient noise while providing a high-quality audio experience. The accompanying 13.5mm EX headphones include a small microphone to measure intrusive noise so the software filter can cancel it out.
The claimed battery life is up to 33 hours of music playback and up to 9 hours of video playback. There are two models: the $299 NWZ- X1051 with 16GB of internal storage and the $399 NWZ- X1061 with 32GB.
