Casio has debuted a new EXILIM compact digital camera that features an ultra-wide angle/telephoto lens in a package less than an inch deep.
The EXILIM Hi-Zoom EX-H10 features 12.1 megapixel resolution, ultra-wide angle 24mm, 10x optical zoom lens, a 3-inch monitor, and CCD-shift image stabilization.
Like many digital cameras these days, Casio’s newest EXILIM model has several “smart” features that help the average user take pictures like a pro. These include:
•Landscape Mode with two settings. Vivid Landscape option uses image analysis to determine and vividly enhance only the most important colors in the landscape or the Mist Removal option that makes weather-affected misty scenes look clear and bright.
•Makeup Mode. A single, dedicated button that helps create beautiful pictures of people’s faces, ensuring they are correctly focused and well exposed, and adjusting the smoothness of skin and softening facial shadows caused by sunlight.
•Handheld Night Scene/Lighting function. The camera can automatically detect difficult situations, such as night scenes where there would normally be camera shake and backlit scenes where faces or backgrounds can be poorly exposed. It automatically adjusts to the most appropriate settings. Users only have to press the shutter button to take great pictures.
•High Resolution HD Movies. The EX-H10 has a dedicated HD Movie button that lets users shoot high definition movies at 1280x720 pixels.
The EX-H10 will be available in July, at an MSRP of $299.99.
