Prepaid Card Promos for the Digital Age

To help prepaid card providers drive sales in today’s tough economy, digital promotions firm RC Strategies Group has launched Digital Promo Pack, a suite of digital entertainment incentives ranging from music downloads and audiobooks to personalized skin covers for cell phones.

The Seattle-based company also offers an instant win mystery promotion that combines music downloads with the chance to win larger prizes such as an iPod or Starbucks gift card.

"What makes digital incentives so powerful for prepaid providers is that they are delivered through a promo code and URL that can be printed on existing prepaid cards or packaging," says Ingrid Ricks, principal of RC Strategies Group. “And because of their digital nature, the incentives can be personalized to the unique tastes of the recipient.”

In addition, the digital promos can be delivered virtually, eliminating storage and production costs, and because they’re redeemed online, they can be used to drive Web traffic and capture customer data through online surveys.

Music Download Cards: Customers can choose from more than 3.4 million songs that can be downloaded into their iTunes or Windows Media Player libraries. English and Spanish language stores are available.

Personalized Skin Cards: More than 1,000 sports, entertainment, and collegiate-branded covers are available for any electronic device.

Audiobook Cards: Customers can choose from more than 60,000 titles that can be downloaded in a matter of minutes.

Cell Phone Entertainment Cards: Ringtones, mobile games, and wallpaper images are on offer.

Instant Win Mystery Cards: Used to drive traffic and build customer databases, mystery cards combine music downloads with the chance to win larger prizes such as iPods and $20 Starbucks gift cards. Recipients must register online to find out what they’ve won—providing customer data for ongoing marketing efforts.
