The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Lake Buena Vista, FL, has redesigned each of the 758 guest rooms in the "Swan" part of the hotel, it announced yesterday. Inspired by the resort's water-themed architecture, highlights of the redesigned rooms include upgraded furniture, new HDTVs, and additional power outlets for business travelers traveling with electronic devices.

The new rooms are part of a multi-phase, multi-year, $125 million redesign that ultimately will encompass rooms in both the Swan and Dolphin buildings. The first phase of work at the 1,509-room Dolphin is set to start later this year, with all work scheduled for completion by the end of 2017.

"This new room product provides our guests with their own personal oasis," General Manager Fred Sawyers said in a statement. "Whether visiting for business or leisure, it's the ideal space to relax and reenergize."
