Attendees at this year's IMEX America trade show once again will have the opportunity to enroll in two of the nation's trusted traveler programs: the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) PreCheck program and U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Global Entry program.

A voluntary program, TSA PreCheck allows eligible fliers who pass a background check in advance of flying to pass more quickly through security checkpoints by utilizing an expedited screening lane that does not require passengers to remove their shoes, belts, coats, laptops, or carry-on toiletries. In a similar way, Global Entry lets international travelers arriving in the United States bypass the traditional CBP inspection lines and use an automated kiosk.

Because both programs require in-person interviews as part of the enrollment process, IMEX America attendees must pre-register for the services prior to the show.

Although the registration deadline for Global Entry has passed, attendees can still enroll in TSA PreCheck by completing the online application prior to the show. For more information, including information on application procedures, documentation, and fees, visit the PreCheck page on IMEX America's website.

IMEX America takes place Oct. 13-15 in Las Vegas.
