Its tech-centric Aloft brand has debuted in downtown Denver, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced this week. Located in the heart of the Mile High City's central business district, the hotel features 140 loft-like guest rooms, an indoor pool, a bar with live music, a 24-hour fitness center, and approximately 400 square feet of meeting space.

"We are thrilled to open Aloft Denver Downtown offering a design-led aesthetic and innovative music programming in the heart of this booming city," Brian McGuinness, Starwood's global brand leader of specialty select brands, said in a statement. "Propelled by tremendous demand in key markets across the globe, Aloft is on track to open its 100th hotel by early next year."

Launched in 2008, Starwood's Aloft brand caters to next-generation travelers with urban design, unique social experiences, and high-tech amenities, such as "Jack Pack" stations that can be used to charge phones, laptops, and other electronic devices.

"We are thrilled to partner with Starwood Hotels to launch Aloft in dynamic downtown Denver, an ideal location for this vibrant, design-led brand," said Jonathan Gandhi, member manager of JBK Hotels, the property's owner. "Aloft Denver Downtown will not only help meet the demand for high-caliber lodging generated by Colorado Convention Center, but also serve as a gathering spot for visitors and local professionals."
