La Quinta Resort & Club, which calls itself "the first resort to debut in Palm Springs," has completed a multi-million dollar, property-wide restoration, it announced last week. Located in La Quinta, CA, the resort originally opened in 1926 and is now part of Hilton's Waldorf Astoria brand. The restoration encompasses upgrades to its guest casitas, villas, and suites, all of which feature a new, residential-style design inspired by the surrounding desert. Highlights include custom tile work and wrought-iron elements, new maple furnishings, geometric floor coverings, and two-toned blocked drapery panels, as well as new amenities such as flat-screen TVs, mini refrigerators, Keurig coffee makers, charging stations with dual USB ports, and upgraded fireplaces.
