Las Vegas isn't all showgirls and slots. It's also about productivity and profits, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), which yesterday launched two new advertising campaigns designed to promote Las Vegas as a destination for corporate meetings and events.
The first campaign, titled "Entertain You," targets the C-level executives who make final decisions about corporate meeting venues. Featuring the tagline, "We're Here to Do More Than Entertain You," it features entertainers like David Copperfield and a Cirque du Soleil performer in order to showcase Las Vegas' unique offerings while also emphasizing its value as a meeting destination.
The second campaign, called "Neon Signs," targets meeting professionals with the tagline, "Las Vegas Makes Every Meeting Exciting." Ads feature humorous names of fictional, dry-sounding meetings -- like the "38th Semi-Annual Regional Symposium on Anesthesiology and the Treatment of Mild Discomfort" -- illuminated in Las Vegas' famous neon lights, underscoring the destination's ability to make any event exciting for attendees.
Developed by LVCVA's agency of record, R&R Partners, the campaigns launch this month with print, digital and radio ads.
"Las Vegas is the meetings and convention capital of the world, and we intend to keep that title for a very long time," Cathy Tull, LVCVA's senior vice president of marketing, said in a statement. "Our new campaigns stand out by capitalizing on the energy and excitement of Las Vegas and adding our unique flair to the serious business of conducting meetings and events. The creative emphasizes that no destination delivers on the promise of value, convenience, customer service and unlimited options like Las Vegas."
