Some changes in attitude are coming to Hollywood, FL, next summer when the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort opens on the city's famous Broadwalk -- the 2.5-mile, brick-paved boardwalk named Florida’s Best Beach Boardwalk in a late 2013 poll of USA Today readers.

Located between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, the oceanfront resort's 350 rooms face either 450 feet of white sand beach on the Atlantic side or the Intracoastal Waterway on the landward side. It will feature more than 30,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, an amphitheater and great lawn event venue, a 15,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, and several pools with water features and entertainment venues.

The resort will have a number of restaurants, beginning, of course, with a Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Cafe, as well as a Jimmy's Sunset Grill and 5 o'clock Somewhere Bar. Other venues include a rooftop bar and the Landshark Bar & Grill, with a boat dock on the Intracoastal. It is scheduled to open in the summer of 2015.

And remember: while they'll cheerfully serve you a piña colada, this is Margaritaville -- don't be that person.
