The largest meetings hotel at Universal Orlando Resort, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, is about to get even larger: The 1,000-room resort today announced plans for its largest-ever meeting space expansion. Scheduled for completion by fall 2015, the expansion will grow the resort’s total meeting space from 85,000 square feet to more than 141,330 square feet. The new space — for which Loews already is accepting reservations — will include a nearly 36,000-square-foot ballroom, divisible by 12, along with four additional breakout rooms and pre-function space.

“Our expansion responds to the tremendous demand we have received from larger groups,” Larry Beiderman, the hotel’s managing director, said in a statement. “Meeting planners have a lot to look forward to as we expand, and they will continue to benefit from our award-winning culinary team, along with the exciting outdoor event space we offer.”
