The former LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, purchased in June by luxury timeshare company Westgate Resorts, has commenced a property-wide renovation encompassing its guest rooms, meeting space, pool, spa and health club, sports book, and restaurants, it recently announced.
Now known as Westgate Las Vegas, the resort has a 95,000-square-foot casino, 200,000 square feet of meeting space, and nearly 3,000 guest rooms, 1,200 of which will be renovated and 300 of which will be converted into 100 timeshare villas.
"I've got a yellow legal pad with me, and there are about 40 pages of things that we have to do on it," Westgate Founder and CEO David Siegel said after acquiring the resort this summer. "We're just doing them and crossing them off."
According to Westgate, guest room renovations will be complete by Christmas 2014. Other enhancements will be complete within six to eight months.
