The Gansevoort Las Vegas, which will be adding some trendy New York boutique-hotel-style cachet to the Strip, will also be bringing a new celebrity chef to town.

Giada De Laurentiis, one of the longest-tenured Food Network stars, will debut her first-ever restaurant in The Gansevoort Las Vegas when it opens in early 2014. A partnership with Caesars Entertainment, the $185 million Gansevoort Las Vegas will be right in the middle of the Strip, across from Caesars Palace on the former site of Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon.

The 300-seat restaurant will be on the Gansevoort’s second floor, overlooking the Strip with an outdoor patio space offering views of the Fountains of Bellagio. The restaurant will feature Roman cuisine with a lighter, California influence. 

"Ever since I was a little girl hanging out at my grandfather's restaurant, I've dreamed of having a restaurant of my own,” De Laurentiis said, in a statement. “I've held back on past opportunities because I really wanted to be ready for the responsibility and challenges that come with a restaurant. Now, I couldn't be more excited about working with Gansevoort Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment to turn this dream into a delicious reality. The location, the al fresco dining and the views were just too good to pass up!"

The Gansevoort will also feature Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub, a 65,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor nightclub and rooftop pool by nightlife impresario Victor Drai.
