The Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, which has been closed for nearly five months following mudslides in California, will reopen June 1. The property has undergone extensive landscaping and restoration of some back-of-house areas and guest rooms.

The 22-acre oceanfront resort was originally built in 1927, and it retains its Spanish colonial design and picturesque beachside location. The 207-room property has two restaurants, a lounge, a spa and nearly 29,000 square feet of meeting space.

A new suite will debut in July. The 2,500-square-foot Anacapa Suite, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Butterfly Beach, will have a 15 x 17-foot plunge pool, a fire pit and a private driveway. Guests of the suite will receive complimentary access to the private Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club, adjacent to the resort.

The resort will host its annual Summer Tasting Series, a trio of events that spotlight local purveyors, distillers and winemakers. New culinary <> and spa offerings will be introduced following the reopening.
