LaPlaya Beach & Gulf Resort in Naples, Fla., has completed a $1 million renovation of its meeting and event space, encompassing "extensive enhancements" to its ballrooms and terraces, as well as the surrounding community spaces and restrooms, it announced this month.

According to the resort, the 5,000-square-foot Vanderbilt Ballroom and the 3,045-square-foot Bayview Ballroom have each been remodeled with new finishes and décor, including custom bent-glass chandeliers, a new LED lighting package, new carpet, new air walls, and new art, not to mention new technology, including digital displays, an indoor/outdoor sound system, and upgraded Wi-Fi.

Outside the ballrooms, the 2,000-square-foot Vanderbilt Terrace and the 1,600-square-foot Bayview Terrace feature new cypress wood ceilings, as well as new custom furniture, drapery, lanterns, and fans.

Remodeled restrooms include new tile flooring, electric lighted mirrors, quartz countertops, and touch-less appliances.

Finally, the resort's "Lantern Lane" outdoor leisure area has been updated with new drapery, and new outdoor-furniture cushions.

"We are excited to elevate the luxury experience for our group guests with the head-to-toe makeover of our meeting and event space," General Manager Ron Vuy said in a statement. "We provide the highest level of customization and flexibility to each guest and every group, and the renovations allow us further extend an unparalleled level of quality. Whether meeting for business or tying the knot, all guests will appreciate the renewed grandeur these enhancements bring to the resort."
