The Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park in downtown Chicago has completed a $2.5 million renovation of its 63,000 square feet of meeting space, which now includes 15 meeting rooms ranging in size from 400 to 16,000 square feet, it announced yesterday.

The final piece in a $60 million, lobby-to-roof transformation of the hotel, the meeting space renovation encompassed new wall coverings, window treatments, carpeting, art and lighting in existing meeting spaces, as well as the addition of two new meeting spaces: a 1,360-square-foot event space adjacent to the lobby and a new executive boardroom on the hotel’s 37th floor.

“This final piece of our five-year renovation unifies the meeting space with the contemporary feeling of the rest of the property, creating space that is both artistic, yet modern,” Regional Vice President and General Manager Mark Huntley said in a statement. “The look of our new space is appealing to meeting planners, as well as social catering clients, and provides the perfect backdrop for a business meeting, corporate event or social gala.”
