With Donald Trump in the midst of a colorful presidential campaign, one might wonder who's minding his hotel business. The answer: hospitality veteran Eric Danziger, according to The Trump Organization, which announced Danziger's appointment as CEO of Trump Hotel Collection yesterday.

"Trump Hotel Collection has been an amazing success, and we are very pleased to welcome Eric to the company," Trump said in a statement. "We have some of the greatest hotels in the finest locations in the world. Eric will play a vital role in our continued expansion and the incredible future of Trump Hotels."

Danziger joins The Trump Organization following roles as president and CEO of Starwood Hotels, president and COO of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, and president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Hampshire Hotels Management LLC, where he introduced Début Hotel Group, a collection of lifestyle hotel brands.

"I couldn't be more thrilled and honored to be joining the Trump family as the CEO of Trump Hotel Collection. Having started as a bellman at a luxury hotel 44 years ago, being named as CEO of Trump Hotel Collection today, undeniably one of the most amazing luxury brands on the planet, is the stuff of fairy tales -- and of the American Dream," Danziger said. "To lead this prestigious company alongside Donald, Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric, who are thoughtful, caring, incredibly smart, and deeply passionate people, will be a personal cherished highlight. I fully believe that the Trump Hotel brand has significant domestic and global opportunities and look forward to a very dynamic growth trajectory."

Trump Hotel Collection currently has a portfolio of 14 hotels, including Trump International Hotel & Tower New York, Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago, Trump International Hotel Las Vegas, and the forthcoming Trump International Hotel, Washington, DC, opening in 2016 in the nation's capital.
