Two additional Sheraton properties in Latin America have been designated as Sheraton Grand, the brand's premier hotel tier. The 270-room Sheraton Grand Los Cabos, Hacienda del Mar, in Mexico, and the 356-room Sheraton Grand Panama are the newest members of the elite club. They join Brazil's Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort to form the trio of Grand properties in Latin America, all known for their "enticing destinations, distinguished designs, and excellence in service and guest experiences," according to Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
The Sheraton Grand Los Cabos, Hacienda del Mar, features traditional Mexican design and architecture. Two acclaimed restaurants, De Cortez and Pitahayas, are on-site, as well as more than 18,000 square feet of meeting space.
The stylish Sheraton Grand Panama overlooks Panama Bay and offers both bay and city views. There are three restaurants on-site and 46,000 square feet of meeting space.
The Sheraton Grand designation was launched in June 2015 as part of the Sheraton 2020 plan to spruce up and expand the brand.
