Los Cabos, Mexico, is still without water and electricity one week after Hurricane Odile hit the resort community. Los Cabos International Airport remains closed with an estimated reopening scheduled for October 8. The airport did not suffer any infrastructure damage but there was damage to the terminals and control tower.

Among the hotels that have reported damage include the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort, the Hotel Esperanza, the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar, and the Westin Los Cabos. Most hotels are planning to reopen in October.

Fiesta Americana Los Cabos will not be accepting groups until November 15 and the Grand Mayan Los Cabos, that has significant damage, will be closed for approximately two months.

The Category 3 storm made a direct hit on this popular tourist destination on Sept. 14, bringing 125 mph winds and six hours of rain.
