Hyatt Hotels Corp. has opened a new all-inclusive Ziva-brand resort in the Punta Cancún area of Cancún, Mexico, it announced this week.

Formerly Dreams Cancún Resort and Spa, the resort -- Hyatt Ziva Cancún -- has undergone an $85 million renovation and expansion. It now offers 547 suites, ocean views on three sides, nine restaurants, six bars, lagoon-style pools with swim-up bars, a lounge with game tables, a fitness center, a spa, a kids' club, and over 11,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom that's divisible into five breakout rooms, plus seven additional meeting rooms.

"Hyatt Ziva Cancún is the future of sophisticated all-inclusive travel," said Alex Stadlin, CEO of Playa Resorts Management, which manages the property on behalf of owner Playa Hotels & Resorts. "The resort was built from the ground-up, and we were determined to rethink the all-inclusive experience and design a resort that is not only physically beautiful, but is the ultimate backdrop for each guest to craft their own personal story during the visit. The resort's compelling design creates areas that inspire friends and families to reconnect, while also featuring intimate and cozy places where adults can recharge in refined luxury."
