In order to attract more meetings and events to Hong Kong, Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) -- the meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) arm of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) -- has upgraded its rewards program to offer new incentives for group programs, it announced last week.

The centerpiece of the upgraded "Hong Kong Rewards!" program is a complimentary cocktail reception for groups of 50 or more staying for at least three nights at any of 43 partner hotels through March 31, 2017. Other incentives, however, include: privileges from major attractions, including Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Harbour Cruise - Bauhinia, and Jumbo Kingdom; shopping and dining discounts that can be used at approximately 400 airport restaurants and shops at the Hong Kong International Airport; and complimentary cultural performances, including traditional lion and dragon dances, acrobatics, kung fu, and face changing performances.

"Hong Kong is one of the world's foremost MICE destinations, offering high standards of hospitality and accommodation, as well as an unsurpassed array of leisure activities," said Bill Flora, HKTB's U.S. director. "To further enhance the destination experience for MICE visitors, it's only fitting that we offer more discounts and privileges than ever for MICE groups from their arrival to their departure."
