A 20-room boutique hotel managed by LOV Hotel Collection and a restaurant operated by celebrity chef Alain Ducasse will open in the Palace of Versailles in 2018. Versailles, known for its opulent architecture, art exhibitions, and gardens, is one of France's top tourist attractions. The 17th-century buildings where the property and eatery will be housed, the Grand Controle and Pettit Controle, respectively, have been vacant since 2008 and will undergo $15 million in renovations, according to press reports. Plans for the hotel include a spa and an underground swimming pool.

Ducasse has more than two dozen restaurants in Europe, Asia, and the United States, including Champeaux in Paris, Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester in London, Rivea Las Vegas, and the Benoit New York. The LOV Hotel Collection currently comprises six French properties: Les Airelles, Le Chalet d'Ormello, Aman Le Mélézin, and Le Chalet de Pierres, all in Courchevel; La Bastide de Gordes in Gordes, and Le Pan Deï in Saint-Tropez.
