Fort Lauderdale-based Silversea Cruises has announced eight new, shorter cruise itineraries for 2013. The new four- to seven-day Northern Europe and Mediterranean voyages will begin in March. The eight new itineraries include ports like Copenhagen, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, and Rome for four-day itineraries; Lisbon, Barcelona, Málaga, and Ibiza for five-day voyages; Southampton, Hamburg, and several cities in the Netherlands for the lone six-day itinerary; and Lisbon, Portimão, Cádiz, Málaga, Ibiza, Valencia, and Barcelona or Athens, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Sorrento, and Rome for seven-day sails.

"Many travelers today have busy schedules that make it difficult to fit in time for an extended luxury cruise vacation," says Ellen Bettridge, Silversea's president of the Americas. "It's important for us to offer options that cater to these consumers as well as those who have time for longer voyages."
