Celebrity Cruises is reintroducing four- and five-night Caribbean sailings geared toward incentive and meeting groups. The cruises will take place on Celebrity Infinity, leaving from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to ports including Key West; Nassau, Bahamas; and Cozumel, Mexico.
"These sailings are very popular with this market since companies don't have to take many days off from work, plus many of these sailings leave on Thursday and come back Monday morning. To elevate the experience, our brand is introducing unique offerings for incentive winners and meeting goers," says Lisa Vogt, Celebrity Cruises' associate vice president, global meetings, incentives, and charter sales.
With its eye on the global incentive and charter sales market, Celebrity hired Vogt in April to oversee its worldwide corporate, charter, and strategic partner business. She has spent more than 19 years in the travel industry, working not only for Celebrity but Royal Caribbean Cruises as well.
Experiential learning with groups is now a focus at Celebrity Cruises, with offerings including "Top Chef at Sea," the Emmy Award-winning show which has partnered with Celebrity.
Other popular activities aboard its ships that incentive groups enjoy include "silent discos," a dance party in which attendees wear wireless headphones.
