Merchandise supplier Zane's Inc. announced recently that it has acquired 20/20 Special Markets. On top of its purchase last year of EXP Group, the most recent acquisition will give Zane's, Inc. a very strong position in housewares for the incentive industry, according to Warren Weaver, director of national sales at Zane's Inc.

The new housewares portfolio will range from entry level to high-end, including brands such as T-Fal, All-Clad, Rowenta, Krups, and Lagostina, as well as Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Bradshaw International, Peugeot, Bodum, and John Boos, among others. 

That's on top of Zane's expertise in bicycles, bicycling equipment, and outdoors and recreational goods. Zane's first entered the incentive and special markets channel as the supplier of Trek bikes custom-fit for each buyer. Other bicycle-related brands include Bontrager bicycle components, Bell helmets, and Yakima car racks. Zane's product categories also include outdoor and fitness goods like Old Town canoes, CamelBak hydration packs, Silva compasses, Eureka tents and sleeping bags, and JetBoil camping cookware, as well as Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony video gaming products, among other categories. 

Weaver notes that "virtually all Since virtually all current 20/20 customers" already do business with Zane's, transitioning them over to its Zeus -- Zane's Enterprise Utility System) supplier platform - will be done with minimal disruption. That that process continues through the end of the year. Zane's will warehouse and stock products for all brands in its Connecticut facility. 

20/20 Special Markets President Chris Ianello will join Zane's Inc. in a management position.
