The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is the latest hotelier to introduce a mobile app developed exclusively for meeting and incentive planners. The new app, called ((Chime)), lets planners communicate directly with their conference concierge by using an online menu of options on their mobile device.

Similar to Ritz-Carlton's parent company's Red Coat Direct app for Marriott Hotels, ((Chime)) works as an immediate way for planners to communicate with their on-site conference services manager, and to request specific services. Requested services can include food-and-beverage changes, A/V requests, in-room temperature changes, room set-ups, and scheduling alterations--all of which are made from a touch-activated mobile device app. A text feature also allows planners to give specific and unique instructions to the conference concierge during a meeting. As soon as a request is sent, the planner will receive a response from the concierge confirming receipt of the request.

((Chime)) is now available for download at Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts worldwide, and is also available in 20 languages globally that include Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese.
