Incentive is teaming up with the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) to bring the rewards and recognition business to the largest sports travel, event, and management industry trade show next week.

The TEAMS '17 Conference & Expo will take place in Orlando next week, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 31 with a day of education before the Wednesday, Nov. 1 opening of the three-day Expo's show floor.

The Rewards and Recognition Roundtable, co-sponsored by Incentive and the IMA, will provide the sports-event organizers and host cities in attendance with an introduction to the incentive and engagement industry, and the ways that they can use non-cash incentive programs with brand-name merchandise, gift cards, and travel awards to raise funds, celebrate achievement, and meet other organizational objectives.

The Rewards and Recognition Roundtable will take place from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Incentive Executive Editor Leo Jakobson will start off the session by introducing the topic, and then turn it over to moderator Richard Low, CPIM, vice president of special markets for Citizen Watch Company of America and a past president of the IMA.

The panel of industry thought leaders will include:

• Ken Bott, director of commerce programs and partnerships for Darden Restaurants, Inc., which has eight full-service brands including Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse
• Dean Resnekov, director of Indigo, which represents multiple luxury merchandise brands
• Marc Matthews, president of Pulse Experiential Travel, who also serves on the IMA board of directors.

"The deep knowledge of the participants in the Rewards and Recognition Roundtable is sure to benefit the sports organizations and destinations in attendance at TEAMS '17," says Timothy Schneider, founder and chairman of the Sports Division of Northstar Travel Group. "This session will allow event organizers and host cities to better understand the value of involving major brands in their efforts to motivate, recognize, and reward superior performance by all of the key stakeholders in their organizations."

The Rewards and Recognition Roundtable is open to all TEAMS '17 event organizers, exhibitors, and sponsors, and will take place in the Lake Sheen room of the Hilton Orlando. For more information, visit TEAMSconference.com. Incentive is part of Northstar Travel Group, which owns TEAMS '17.
