Incentive house Paramax has added a new social media-based employee engagement and award tool to its offerings. 

PEPPER, the Paramax Engagement & Points Platform for Employee Recognition, is a flexible and easy-to-use points-based incentive and recognition platform that has a wide range of capabilities, including program creation, award nomination and approval tools, a sales claim engine, budgeting controls, and access to the Pepper Awards Catalog, which offers thousands of choices including merchandise, gift cards, and travel.

Social media tools are a core feature. PEPPER incorporates a Facebook-style internal social media platform, including a news feed for sharing recognition and awarding and exhibiting badges. It allows free-form posting for sharing photos, news, and ideas. There are "like" and comment tools, and badges and recognition can be posted to Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.

"Our customers have been asking for a solution with Facebook-like features that is easy to share with social media," says Jeffrey Dalton, CEO of Paramax. "We are happy that we were able to build something that can do just that." 

PEPPER also runs peer-to-peer recognition programs, creates custom certificates and badges, and administers educational modules -- including video content -- as well as quizzes, surveys, and polls, all with or without rewards.
