Inspiring great performances doesn't require a lot of high-tech bells and whistles. Anyone who has watched a great football movie knows a ragtag team of athletes can be pushed to exceed all expectations and win the big game with the right locker-room speech. But when trying to motivate an organization's staff or its channel sales team -- with a wide range of goals, or over extended periods of time, some tech support can come in handy.

In this episode of Incentive: What Motivates, we look at how tech tools, such as platforms that track ROI or augmented reality experiences, can enhance an incentive program. At the same time, we discuss where technology can't fully deliver yet and where a human touch -- that inspiring head coach speech -- remains timelessly effective.

For this topic, we spoke with a pair of Incentive experts: Richelle Taylor, vice president of strategic marketing for performance improvement and marketing services company One10, and Bob Dawson, co-founder of platform-as-a-service technology company TRAVYRS, LLC. They offered best practices for enhancing a program and tips for how you can better be using the tech tools you've already got. Listen on for more.
