Hinda Incentives has named Apple and Mach 1 Global Services as the winners of its annual Golden Carrot Award. Both companies earned the award for serving as outstanding supplier partners to the Chicago-based incentive merchandise dealer, providing innovative products and service.
The awards were presented at Hinda Incentives’ headquarters on Oct. 23rd, in conjunction with The Motivation Show.
The selection is based on an assessment of all the company’s suppliers, looking at a number of business metrics and which partners provided particularly notable performances for the year. This includes offering flexibility in shipping and timing to better respond to customer needs, as well as strong communication when product offerings are updated or changed.
These were a few of the reasons cited for Apple’s win.
“With Apple, it’s inventory availability, their ability to work with us on client requirements, and their flexibility to help enable us to support clients,” said Dave Peer, president of Hinda Incentives. “They’re very supportive of our industry in general and have tried to modify their approach to be more responsive to incentive needs.”
Mach 1 Global Services, Hinda’s home delivery carrier, was selected for its outstanding customer service and for going “above and beyond the call of duty in support of clients,” according to Peer. He pointed to an example in which Hinda was hosting a mobile version of their Warehouse Dash in Las Vegas, and members of Mach 1 helped run the program."
“[Mach 1] not only helped with the logistics and movement of the merchandise, they actually had staff members act as if they were part of the Hinda team,” said Peer. “These were our reps spending their own time, investing themselves in the development of our new product — it really reflects their commitment to Hinda and willingness to do what’s necessary to be sure our business is successful.”
Peer added that the award helps to give recognition to members of the incentive industry who are often overlooked.
“So many times all the good stuff that fulfillment suppliers do goes unheralded,” said Peer. “All that hard work behind the scenes is essential and we see the Golden Carrot as a chance to thank these partners as an industry.”
