BCD Group has integrated its group travel and meetings units, BCD Travel Groups and BCD Meetings & Incentives, into a single organization operating as BCD Meetings & Events, it announced last week, explaining that the integration will allow it to eliminate redundancies, streamline service delivery, and increase leverage with suppliers.
Former BCD M&I Global President Scott Graf (pictured) serves as head of the new organization, which has more than 700 employees and operations in more than 40 countries, where newly integrated services include strategic meetings management, incentive travel, attendee management, sourcing, onsite staffing, and travel management.
"The time was right to integrate these two operational units," Graf said. "While we found great success in meeting market needs with separate meetings and group travel organizations, the new configuration positions us better for future growth and scalability. The meetings and events business is booming around the world, and our shareholder is committed to seeking out investment opportunities in the meetings and events space. The new brand positions us for growth."
