Companies looking for materials to help train and motivate their workforce now have a new online tool. Organizational development company the Employee Engagement Group has launched a new resource for executives and managers looking for insight on how to boost employee motivation.
The Employee Engagement Library, launched on Jan. 18, provides subscribers with a number of training programs that they can access year-round to incorporate into their talent development efforts.
The library is targeted at organizations that may typically hire outside training companies but cannot afford to keep them coming to the office year-round, as well as organizations running their own programs in-house but seeking additional training materials.
“It gives them access to training and information that isn’t going to charge them piecemeal every time they want something,” says Bob Kelleher, founder of the Employee Engagement Group and author of Louder Than Words: 10 Practical Employee Engagement Steps That Drive Results.
Kelleher, who worked in talent development at a number of large companies before becoming an independent consultant, created the Library (available at
www.employeeengagementlibrary.com) in order to allow organizations to put their own stamp on the training materials.
“The vast majority of HR generalists can do a great job of facilitating any kind of workshop, but they are not program designers,” says Kelleher. “You can put your logo on the presentation, change the color template, and, presto, you’re rolling out a change management course that the audience thinks took you weeks to put together.”
The new website offers programs on topics such as coaching for engagement, leading a diverse and inclusionary workforce, performance improvement, and recruiting engaged employees.
The library will also be regularly updated with new content and information as it is developed by the Employee Engagement Group.
“This is Library is 6.0, and in 2013 it will be 7.0,” says Kelleher. “It’s a living library, and anything we put up there, the client has access to.”
