Hinda Appoints New SVP of Sales and Marketing

Chicago-based employee reward and recognition company, Hinda Incentives, has named Greg Whitacre as its new senior vice president of sales and marketing. The appointment reflects the company’s effort to continue to move aggressively in the incentive sector and expand its outreach to the industry since its merger with TharpeRobbins last fall.

Whitacre, a 25-year veteran of the incentive industry, will be responsible for overseeing the company’s sales and marketing efforts and working with its resellers. He comes to Hinda after a five-year tenure with Marriott International’s sales team, including its Global Individual Incentives business. Prior to Marriott, Whitacre spent 13 years with Maritz and a decade managing his own reward and recognition company, G-Force Incentives, Meetings & Events.

He describes coming onboard with Hinda as a return to an industry he has always seen as home.

“I think me being able to be back in the incentive industry and work with Dave [Peer, president of Hinda Incentives], there’s a lot of anticipation of good things to come,” said Whitacre. “Throughout my career I’ve admired Hinda Incentives and how it has always supported its partners and able to offer its platform for individual lifestyle awards without the need to be front and center itself.”

Whitacre joins Hinda as the company has recently merged with recognition firm TharpeRobbins, combining the latter’s employee recognition solutions with the former’s rewards and fulfillment expertise. Whitacre believes that this partnership, combined with Hinda’s dedication to its resellers, and a wider upswing in the industry, will ensure a strong showing for the company in the coming years.

“There’s less and less aversion to outsourcing performance improvement or reward and recognition services,” said Whitacre. “As I’ve watched the cycles in the industry over the last 25 years, it’s clear now that the industry is coming back strong.”  This page is protected by Copyright laws.
