This December 7-10, Orlando’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando will host the Site Global Conference with a theme commemorating the organization’s 40th anniversary and focusing on education for attendees. The convention, “40 Years Forward,” will make education a major highlight, Site’s Chief Staff Officer Kevin Hinton told IncentiveMag.com at the third annual IMEX America trade show in mid-October. 

“We have great things in store for education this year,” said Hinton. “We want to be really valuable and relevant and to be the source of support, professional development, and business development in the incentive industry.”

Part of Site’s new education strategy includes a new certified incentive specialist program, as well as certification program for cruising incentives for which Site has partnered with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). Another education track at the conference covers global business practices, technology, incentive program benchmarking, health and wellness, and more as part of Site Global Learning Sessions.

“We also have a project management certification course,” Hinton added, “because, when you think about it, each incentive event really is like a project, and buyers are looking for that type of support and help. Overall, we really want to provide more of an end-to-end education plan. There’s a growing appetite for validation of what we do in the incentive industry.”  

In total, the upcoming global conference will offer up to 32 hours of education, and keynote speakers include entrepreneur and Double Double author Cameron Herold, as well as CLIA CEO Christine Duffy.
