Incentive travel association Site has announced that Kevin M. Hinton, formerly executive vice president of Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) and immediate past chair of Meeting Professionals International, has joined the organization as chief staff officer of both Site and the Site International Foundation.

Hinton will manage the Site Global headquarters team at SmithBucklin Corporation, Site's management partner, and will assume responsibility for meeting the strategic and operational goals of both Site and the Site International Foundation, the association said in a statement.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to the Site team," said David Sand, president of Site and founder of South Africa-based Uwin Iwin Incentives, in a statement. "Kevin has extensive business and global experience in the meetings, incentives, conventions and events (MICE) industries, and his skills in implementing global business operations solutions will enable him to advance the mission of Site while increasing value to association members."

Sand added, "Site is at a very exciting and crucial period in its 40-year history of serving the incentive industry. The board of directors has recently undertaken an intensive long-range planning exercise, which we know will position the organization for unparalleled future growth and dynamic new service to our international membership. Welcoming an executive with the experience, stature and knowledge of Kevin Hinton at this opportune time guarantees that the board’s initiatives will be implemented with professional and great care."

Hinton had formerly been CEO of hinton + grusich, a national sales organization focused on the MICE market, before selling the company to ALHI in 2011.
