The Incentive Gift Card Council (IGCC) has elected its officers and board members for the 2015-2016 season, the organization announced on Aug. 31. The new leaders of this strategic industry group for the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) will be responsible for helping promote the interests of the major suppliers of gift card programs in the incentive marketplace

Betsi Bowman, senior business development manager for Blackhawk Engagement Solutions, was elected president (succeeding Shaun Krusmark, of Transaction Wireless, as IGCC head). In addition to serving as president, Bowman will also take on the role of IGCC delegate on the IMA Board of Directors.

Members of the strategic industry group also voted in Groupon, Inc. Gift Card Manager Nicole Willis Hardey as executive vice president. First elected to the IGCC Board in 2014, Hardey will join Bowman as an IGCC delegate on the IMA Board of Directors.
 
Three new directors were elected to the IGCC Board: Great Lakes Scrip Center, Inc. Vice President Retail Partnerships Jill Whalen, Tango Card, Inc. Senior Manager of Partnerships Lindsay Gale, and SpaFinder Wellness 365 Vice President of Gift Sales U.S. Shawna Nichol.

The industry group's main goals include seeking out opportunities to develop gift card business in the industry, educating companies about the overall value of gift cards as award choices, and cultivating opportunities for networking between its members. 

The new IGCC Board of Directors also includes a number of returning directors: Benita White of DineEquity, Inc.; Bradford Robinson, product marketing manager - gift card, InComm; Kim Sobasky, director gift cards, Buffalo Wild Wings; Susan Gray, director of partner operations, Hallmark Business Connections; and Shaun Krusmark, account executive, Transaction Wireless & Optimum Card Solutions (and past president of the IGCC).
