British trade show producer Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) has rebranded its "IBTM" portfolio of incentive, business travel, and meetings exhibitions, it announced today.

Henceforth, the portfolio will bear the moniker, "IBTM Events - Connections Mean Everything." Furthermore, four of the portfolio's eight events -- AIBTM, EIBTM, GIBTM, and CIBTM -- will be similarly rebranded: AIBTM will become IBTM America, GIBTM will become IBTM Arabia, CIBTM will become IBTM China, and EIBTM will become IBTM World, reflecting its status as a global event. IBTM India, IBTM Africa, ICOMEX, and AIME will retain their current names.

"As our family of IBTM events evolves, we need to clearly establish each individual event proposition for the market that they serve," IBTM Events Portfolio Director Sallie Coventry said in a statement. "We have also introduced different event formats for a number of our events over the last two years, but the common denominator for them all is still the same defining principals: that they deliver top-level hosted buyers and connections, which in turn create business opportunities. At the same time, EIBTM is the flagship show for the portfolio and must be defined as representative of the world."
