Say goodbye to zippers. The new Trunkster
smart suitcase has done away with zippers entirely -- opting for rolltop entry instead -- and includes other nifty features like a high capacity USB charger, a built-in scale to help avoid baggage fees, and a GPS tracking device.
The brainchild of world travelers Jesse Potash and Gaston Blanchet, Trunkster started as a Kickstarter, achieving $1.4 million in funding. An appearance on ABC's Shark Tank l
anded another $1.4 million in a deal with show stars Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner.
"As avid travelers, Jesse and I always found ourselves complaining about our luggage and wishing there was a better alternative to traditional duffels, suitcases, and backpacks," says Blanchet. "As lifelong globetrotters, we realized, who else would be more qualified than us to create the next big thing in luggage?"
Trunkster is available as a carry-on ($435) and full-size ($495).
