Sony's latest Action Cam offers high-quality, high-definition shooting paired with a remote that straps onto the user's wrist or mounts on a handlebar, offering live-streaming video and controls including start/stop and power on/off. The $350 HDR-AS50R uses an 11.1 megapixel back-illuminated sensor paired with a Zeiss Tessar lens and SteadyShot image stabilization specially designed to work with everything from motocross cycles to aerial drones. It offers wide and narrow fields of view, a 3x smooth zoom, and built-in stereo microphone.

Another new feature is the Live-View Remote, small enough to be strapped onto a wrist, handlebar, or shooting grip while wirelessly controlling the camera and viewing the video feed in real time. It can control up to five cameras at once. Available from Sony.
