The SoundTouch family of speakers from Bose has two core design objectives: provide great sound from a wireless streaming speaker, and make the streaming experience as easy and seamless as possible.

On Tuesday, Bose expanded the connectivity of the SoundTouch family of network-connected speakers, adding Bluetooth wireless connectivity to the existing Wi-Fi, providing users the ability to stream any song, music service and YouTube channel directly from a smartphone or tablet. As the SoundTouch devices are all interconnected via Wi-Fi, this lets the user stream music from an iPhone or Android device to all SoundTouch speakers throughout the house.

In addition, Bose expanded the SoundTouch family with the new, smaller SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker while adding Bluetooth to the whole SoundTouch streaming music system, which includes the new SoundTouch 20 Series III, and SoundTouch 30 Series III, as well as the new SoundTouch 120 and 130 soundbars and the SoundTouch 520 home theater system with 5.1 surround sound.

Beyond this, Bose is adding the popular Spotify to the list of streaming music services that work directly with SoundTouch, including Pandora, Deezer, and iHeartRadio. The Spotify deal will allow users to control their SoundTouch systems directly from the Spotify Connect app, as well as search for songs, albums, artists, or playlists on Spotify directly from the free Bose SoundTouch app.

"SoundTouch has always been about the experience -- what listening to streaming music at home should be like," says John Roselli, general manager of Bose Wireless Speakers. "We engineered everything around that simple idea. So, SoundTouch systems are easier to use than anything else available, they sound incredible, and now they let you listen to anything from your phone or tablet in as many rooms as you want."

The entry-level SoundTouch 10 measures just 8.34-inches high by 5.56-inches wide by 3.43-inches deep and features a 2.5-inch Unidome transducer and Bose digital signal processing. It retails for $199.95.

The SoundTouch 20 Series III is $349.95, and SoundTouch 30 Series III is $499.9. The new SoundTouch 120 soundbar is $1,099.95 and the SoundTouch 130 soundbar and SoundTouch 520 home theater system are both $1,499.95. SoundTounch is available in the incentive channel from Incentive Concepts
