Brinkmann's Q-Beam spotlights have a long-established reputation for quality. Now the company has produced a line of flashlights good enough to carry the Q-Beam name.

The Q-Beam Pro-Series flashlights come in three sizes -- using two AA batteries, three "C" batteries, and three "D" batteries -- and use top-of-the-line Cree LED lights for a powerful beam.

Just how powerful was impressively demonstrated at the PPAI Expo's "brand." pavilion a few weeks ago, when Chris Harrison, Brinkmann Special Markets' vice-president of sales, turned on the 590-lumen, 3 "D" cell light in a brightly lit convention center ballroom and threw a very visible spot of light on a wall at least 30 yards away.

The Pro-Series 3D model has a maximum beam distance of 420 meters and like all of the Q-Beam flashlights comes with three modes: high beam, low beam, and strobe. It has a run time of 18 hours and retails for $39.99.

The Q-Beam flashlights feature aluminum bodies and rubberized caps that make them "virtually unbreakable," he says. They have been dropped tested from 30 feet and are O-ring sealed to be waterproof to one meter.

The Pro-Series 3C model offers 225 lumens, throws a beam 380 meters, and has a run time of 18 hours. It retails for $29.99. The Pro Series 2AA has 70 lumens, throws a beam 90 meters, has three-hour run time, and retails for $19.99.
