Weather
Port Antonio and the surrounding region is Jamaica's rainy corner. This mountainous, northeastern region receives the moisture-laden trade winds, and rainfall is prodigious, especially in the mountain areas. Seasonal variations are less noticeable than elsewhere on the island, although the summer months are usually the rainiest. If sunbathing is your intention, you might be better served visiting other parts of the island; otherwise the midwinter months are preferable. Hurricane season is June-November.
