The tallest newly built, freestanding Hyatt hotel in the United States, Hyatt Times Square New York, opened for its guests on December 3. The 487-room hotel stands 54 stories high and is steps away from Broadway theaters, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and flagship Fifth Avenue shops.

Offering an intimate, apartment-like feel with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows and eye-catching original art, the George Wong-designed guestrooms provide a relaxing haven while still reflecting all of the excitement of city life. With only 11 rooms per floor, the hotel also houses deluxe suites as well as a Premier Suite with a private terrace. The hotel features a total of 8,000 square feet of flexible function space including a 2,000-square-foot meeting center with pre-function areas and three adjacent rooms, each with a terrace and natural light as well as state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities. The 54th floor rooftop lounge, still under construction, features river-to-river views and indoor/outdoor fireplaces. Also set to debut on Dec. 22 is the hotel’s restaurant, T-45, Hyatt’s twist on a traditional American diner.
