Disney Dream Arrives in Port Canaveral

January 6, 2011

Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Disney Dream, has arrived at her home port of Port Canaveral, FL, for the first time after traveling approximately 6,500 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Germany, where it was built.

The third ship in Disney’s fleet, the Dream has 14 towering decks and 1,250 staterooms, which means it can comfortably accommodate 4,000 passengers. The ship was designed to reflect the glamour of the golden age of cruising during the 1930s. Original paintings, statues, and woodwork create an Art Deco ambiance. One feature of interest to planners is the Dream's ability to offer cabins with ocean views to all attendees—sort of. All of the ship’s interior cabins feature virtual portholes.

The new Disney Dream starts sailing on Jan. 26, 2011. Itineraries include three-, four-, and five-night jaunts to the Bahamas.  This page is protected by Copyright laws. Do Not Copy
