Marcus Hotels & Resorts announced last week that it was launching a set of eGift cards, suitable for spot and points-based incentives, as well as individual travel program awards, that can be purchased and delivered online.
The cards can be redeemed at any of the Milwaukee, WI-based hotel management company's 18 hotels and resorts (including such popular incentive properties as Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
and AC Marriott Chicago Downtown
). They can also be used toward dining at its signature restaurants, golfing, or skiing at its resort properties, or for treatments at its on-site spas. Buyers can purchase them at MarcusGiftCards.com
, selecting from a number of themes -- such as snowflakes or a holiday sweater design -- as well as the amount, up to $500. It can be sent to the recipient via email (on the date of the sender's choosing) or printed and included in a card.
Not just the recipients will be able to enjoy the gift, though: Marcus Hotels will send a $25 bonus gift card through the mail to the shopper for every $100 gift card purchase he or she makes.
"Marcus Hotels & Resorts' businesses provide the perfect gift for spa goers, golf and ski lovers, wine and food enthusiasts, and for those who want to enjoy a special experience at one of our premier properties throughout the U.S.," said Joseph Khairallah, president and chief operating officer of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, in a statement.
The company is premiering its eGift cards at the same time it's launching a new gift card website
, aimed at making the selection and purchasing process for both digital and physical gift cards simpler and more engaging for shoppers.
