B&Q, the largest home improvement and garden center retailer in the United Kingdom and Europe says it is now expanding its partnership with digital gifting solutions provider CashStar to include a B2B eGifting program designed to motivate B2B customers to order bulk quantities of B&Q's personalized eGift cards.

B&Q, which is also the third largest home improvement and garden center retailer in the world, first began working with CashStar in 2012, selling eGift cards directly to its consumers. The program generated 100-percent incremental sales with customers purchasing and sending multiple gifts a day during the holiday season. Based on its success, B&Q is now expanding its partnership with CashStar to extend to its eGift card program to its B2B partners.

“Our CashStar-powered eGift program is a major revenue generator and competitive differentiator for B&Q, especially during the busy holiday season, so adding the B2B platform was an easy decision,” Stuart Lawrence, business services manager for B&Q said in a statement. “We are excited to enable our partners to build on existing customer relationships and create new ones with personalized eGift cards. Our partners will now get to experience the ease of delivery and ROI benefits that we have seen over the past year.”

The B2B eGifting program includes a special easy-to-use web interface; abilities for partners to enter recipient information one at a time, upload a spreadsheet of addressesl or order quanitities of eGiftcards at specific denominations; the ability to make B&Q eGift cards avaialble to third-party distribution channels; and the ability for B&Q to retain complete control over all financial transactions and customer relationships.

“B&Q is a pioneer in the home improvement industry, so we are happy to see that they are expanding their partnership with CashStar to the B2B platform,” said Ben Kaplan, CEO of CashStar, in a statement. “As we enter the key holiday season we look forward to delivering a seamless experience for the retailer’s partners so they too can open up new revenue channels, deepen customer relationships and build new ones through digital gifting.”

CashStar expanded to the U.K. market just last year and since then has become one of the largest operators of consumer eGifting programs for retailers outside of North America.
